Miami-Dade 3-1-1, Service Direct Offices and South-Dade Government Center undergo changes in light of budget

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
As a result of service level reductions associated with the Miami-Dade County budget for fiscal year 2009-2010, the Miami-Dade Finance Department Tax Collector's South-Dade Government Center Office, Miami-Dade's 3-1-1 Answer Center, and Service Direct Offices are undergoing changes in service and hours.

The Miami-Dade County Finance Department, Tax Collector Division, is closing its South Dade Government Center Office.  The last day of business will be Friday, October 2, 2009.  Auto tag customers may still receive in-person service through private branch tag agencies in the area, while customers seeking to pay property and/or local business taxes in-person will have to do so at the Downtown Miami Office, located at 140 West Flagler Street, Room 101.  Customers in South Miami-Dade County are encouraged to use online services available through the County's web portal at www.miamidade.gov for payment of property taxes and renewal of local business tax receipts. New local business tax accounts may only be opened in-person at the Downtown Miami Office.
