Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez Sworn in at Installation Ceremony
Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez was sworn into office by Judge Ivan F. Fernandez of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, on July 6, 2011, at the installation ceremony in the Board of County Commission Chambers.
"My decisions will be guided by one fundamental principle: What is best for all of Miami-Dade County? I will require no less of each and every government employee," Mayor Gimenez said. "I ask my fellow citizens to join us as we work toward a better Miami-Dade County. Your participation in the important decisions that contribute to our future is essential."
