Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez and Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan met with U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson and local leaders


Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez and Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan met with U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson and local leaders to discuss how the private and public sector can work together to expand exports and create jobs. 

The meeting took place after Secretary Bryson and Mayor Gimenez toured Pavilion Furniture, a company that is working with the Department of Commerce's Commercial Service to expand the exports of its products.  Business leaders who participated the discussion included Mike Buzzella, President and CEO of Pavilion Furniture; Raj Rangaswamy, President of Target Engineering; and Luis Arguello, CEO of DemeTech. 

"By working together, we can help create the conditions for job growth in our community," said Mayor Gimenez.
