(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Today, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez hosted a post-legislative session briefing alongside Majority Leader Carlos Lopez-Cantera and members of the Miami-Dade Delegation to discuss issues relevant to Miami-Dade County, including the Port of Miami Tunnel dredge project, among other things.
"I have worked closely with Majority Leader Lopez-Cantera and the Miami-Dade delegation to ensure that our community's interests are heard and acted on in Tallahassee. Going forward, we'll continue to meet - just as we did today - and work towards our shared goal of doing what is best for the people of Miami-Dade County," said Mayor Gimenez
"I commend Mayor Gimenez for his leadership and appreciate his direct involvement in bringing Miami-Dade County's issues to the forefront in the state capitol. While the members of our delegation make decisions that often have a statewide impact, we can't lose sight of what our constituents at home expect of us," said Majority Leader Lopez-Cantrera.
