The Miami-Dade County Charter Review Task Force is presenting its final report at the Tuesday, July 17, 2012, Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners meeting, which begins at 9:30 a.m., at the Stephen P. Clark Center, located at 111 NW 1st Street, 2nd Floor Commissioner Chambers.  The Task Force reviewed the Home Rule Charter of Miami-Dade County and developed 16 recommendations.

"I want to thank each of my fellow Task Force members for dedicating their valuable time and energy to this important process," said Senator Rene Garcia, Chairman of the Charter Review Task Force.  "I hope the Board of County Commissioners carefully examines these recommendations for placement on the November 6th ballot for consideration by the voters."

The Task Force consists of 20 members, 13 of the members are appointed by each County Commissioner, one by the Mayor of Miami-Dade County, four by each of the four largest cities in the County, and two by the Miami-Dade League of Cities.
