Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez statement regarding Dr. Joseph Davis

(MIAMI, March 19, 2013) – I'm saddened to hear of Dr. Joseph Davis's death.  He was a dedicated public servant and a pioneer in a profession that very few people have the fortitude or knowledge to take on.  Dr. Davis used his vast experiences over four decades as our community's Medical Examiner to advocate for laws that keep all of us safer to this very day, a legacy that we are grateful for and one that his family is surely proud of.  His legacy also lives on through the many professional careers he has influenced both locally and around the world.
