Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez’s statement on American Airlines and US Airways Merger

(MIAMI, December 9, 2013) – We’re very excited that the merger between American Airlines and US Airways is now complete and that the new American Airlines will continue to grow its presence and importance to our community. As the top airline operating out of Miami International Airport, this is great news for the hundreds of thousands of residents who are directly or indirectly employed at the airport.
