As we look toward tomorrow and all that can be, we must also realize we are entering uncertain economic times.  Difficult decisions lie ahead.  We know our next budget must be $100 million leaner.  Further cuts could be ahead.

 Our government must strive to live within its means.  We must prioritize services, eliminate waste and do more with less.  Simply put, we must get the biggest bang for the taxpayer's buck.

The citizens of our State and County have spoken and it is our responsibility to do everything within our power to adapt to the wishes of those who pay the bills.

Working together we can live up to the expectations of those who placed their trust in us.  We can overcome the fiscal restraints that try our resolve. With the leadership of our Chairman Bruno Barreiro, our County Commission, and the professionalism of our County Manager, we can we make the difficult decisions needed.

We can and will prevail for the good of our community and the future of our children.  Thank you and God bless.
