South Florida’s US&R Teams return from Haiti

 


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's (MDFR)  and the City of Miami's Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Teams, Florida Task Force One (FL-TF1) and Florida Task Force 2 (FL-TF2), will be returning from Haiti on Monday, January 25, 2010. Team members will be arriving at Miami International Airport at approximately 3 to 3:30 p.m.

Both teams will be arriving in the International Arrivals area located in the lower level of Concourse E. They will be greeted by elected officials, friends, and family.

The US&R mission is to respond to natural and man-made disasters by providing search and rescue support, medical support, communications and damage assessment, and to coordinate the distribution of relief supplies
