Assistant Director for Administration Jane Feuer brings to her current assignment 30 years of progressive management and administrative experience in a wide range of diverse public safety operations.
Her current areas of responsibility include Finance, Procurement, Records, Human Resources, Background Investigations, Management Information and Technology, the Wellness Center and the Miami-Dade Academy of Fire Rescue.
Assistant Director Feuer embarked upon her public service career as a management intern with the City of Miami Beach and later accepted promotional opportunities with the City of Miami and the Miami-Dade Transit Authority.
In 1985 she was appointed as the Senior Fiscal Officer for the Miami-Dade Police Department. Over the course of the next 17 years, she was promoted through the ranks several times. In 2001, she was promoted to Assistant Director, achieving the distinction of being the first female and first civilian to hold the rank within the Miami-Dade Police Department.
In December 2004, Ms. Feuer joined MDFR as the Assistant Director for Administration. A native-born Miamian, Ms. Feuer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami in 1974. She successfully obtained a Master of Public Administration from Florida International University in 1977.
