The North District provides state-of-the-art fire and rescue services to a dynamic region comprised of the unincorporated areas of northern Miami-Dade County and 20 individual municipalities. This response territory spans from the beaches on the east coast to areas beyond the Urban Development Boundary (UDB) in the west, and from the Miami-Dade/Broward County Line to Miami International Airport in the south. It is densely populated, primarily by our county's eldest residents. Fifty-one emergency units staffed by approximately 600 firefighter/paramedics and firefighter/EMTs respond from 27 fire stations to provide fire suppression, emergency medical services, advanced technical rescue and hazardous materials response to the residents and visitors of northern Miami-Dade County.

Operations South
The South District provides state-of-the-art fire and rescue services to a rapidly growing region comprised mainly of the unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County and 10 individual municipalities. This response territory spans from Biscayne Bay on the east to areas beyond the UDB in the west, and from the City of Doral in the north to the Miami-Dade/Monroe County Line in the south. The South District encompasses most of the county's rural/agricultural areas. Fifty-eight emergency units staffed by approximately 510 firefighter/EMTs and paramedics respond from 27 fire stations and provide fire suppression, emergency medical services, advanced technical rescue and hazardous materials response to the residents and visitors of southern Miami-Dade County. With the explosive growth and expansion being experienced in south Miami-Dade County, this division will no doubt continue to be among the fastest-growing areas in Miami-Dade County, and is expected to add 11 new fire stations and more than 20 new units in the future.
