The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Training Center is a multi-use, state of the art complex built on 11 acres of existing land directly south of MDFR's headquarters building. The Training Center provides numerous training and development opportunities for MDFR personnel as well as public safety personnel from across the region, the nation, and the globe.
The Training Center's primary focus is to enhance Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's response capabilities and serve to assist other public safety departments in the region. The Training Center is also designed to provide a wide range of courses that deal with both public and private emergency response and preparedness.
The Training Center was designed to dramatically improve fire rescue training programs for firefighters within the department. It also allows Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to provide superior fire rescue training programs to outside public and private entities from around the world.
The Center is also designed to accommodate a wide range of training programs to benefit law enforcement, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), public/private corporations, and community and civic groups. Some key fire programs and services include:
