    MDPD-Mounted Patrol Unit

     

     The Mounted Patrol Unit performs as a support unit, rendering assistance to patrol officers and investigators while fostering a positive public image.  The Mounted Patrol Unit will, upon request through the Communications Bureau or other elements within the Department, respond and assist with searches, search and rescue missions, and crowd control situations.

    Mounted Patrol offices are located at 12000 SW 49 Street and can be reached through the Intergovernmental Bureau at 305-477-1616 or the Communications Shift Commander at 305-596-8176.
