Court Services Bureau - Civil Process Section
    Urgent Service

Upon occasion, plaintiffs will request priority service of process they deem to be urgent. As a public service, the Bureau has a system, called After-Hours Service to accomplish service of process on an overtime basis at the expense of the plaintiff.

After-Hours Service (AHS) is a public service provided by the Miami-Dade Police Department. Its use is entirely voluntary on the part of the plaintiff or agent requesting such service.

After-Hours Service is not a guarantee of service. It is an agreement that the process will receive accelerated clerical processing, and that an attempt will be made to serve the process on an overtime basis. Service is subject to the availability of personnel and adherence to Florida State Statutes.

An after-hours service attempt begins when the individual serving the process leaves the office with the process. When that event occurs, the after-hours service fee is non-refundable.

    After-Hours Service Fees
AHS Fees are in addition to the normal sheriff's fees for service.

    • Executions: $480 (See AHS Fee Note)
    • Possession:
      • Post After Hours $160
      • Final Eviction AHS $480
    • All Nonenforceable Papers $160

    AHS Fee Note
Fees for an execution may be adjusted upward should more than two personnel be required, based upon the circumstances of the case. Should this be necessary, a guideline of $240 per additional officer per four-hour period or portion thereof will be used.
