    The Domestic Crimes Bureau is responsible for the coordination of all Departmental activities related to family crimes, including but not limited to:
    • Domestic Violence
    • Child Exploitation
    • Elderly / Disabled Adult Abuse
    • Missing Persons

    Existing personnel and functional units in various parts of the Miami-Dade Police Department which address different aspects of family crime/violence were brought together to better focus Departmental activities on this serious problem.
     
    The Bureau will coordinate victim assistance programs and other resources as required to accommodate victim needs. In addition, the Bureau will assume responsibility for providing certified instructors for law enforcement personnel as well as public speakers and other resource materials as needed by the community.
