    How to Volunteer

    Youth Volunteers

    Benefits for youths (jurors, defense or prosecuting attorneys, clerks, and bailiffs)

    • Hones leadership skills
    • Provides an opportunity to experience positive peer pressure
    • Helps satisfy community service hours requirements
    • Provides an opportunity to become familiar with the judicial process
    • Provides exposure to various career opportunities within the legal and criminal justice fields

    Adult Volunteers

    Benefits for adults (Judges, attorney trainers, and jury monitors)

    • Provides an opportunity to serve the community
    • Provides an opportunity to serve as a mentor to Miami-Dade’s youth
    • Provides an opportunity to expose adult volunteers to careers in the legal and criminal justice fields

    Interested volunteers can make an appointment by calling Miami Dade County Teen Court North at 305-622-2592.
