Effective March 2008 the Affirmative Action Plan function became the responsibility of the Office of Capital Improvements (OCI). This program is administered by the Professional Services Division of OCI.
Vendors with annual gross revenues in excess of $5,000,000:
An approved AAP is required for all vendors (including construction services) with annual gross revenues in excess of $5,000,000, contracting with Miami-Dade County prior to contract award in accordance with the Miami-Dade County Code, Section 2-8.1.5. Firms engaging in the practice of architectural, engineering, landscape architectural, surveying and/or mapping services are required to have an approved AAP prior to responding to a Notice to Professional Consultant (NTPC).
Vendors with annual gross revenues not exceeding $5,000,000:
All vendors (including construction services) with annual gross revenues which do not exceed $5,000,000 are required to complete the Affirmative Action Affidavit and Statistical Workforce Analysis Forms prior to contract award. Firms engaging in the practice of architectural, engineering, landscape architectural, surveying and/or mapping services are required to complete the above referenced documentation prior to responding to a Notice to Professional Consultant (NTPC).
AAP Guidelines
The following PDF guidelines are provided to assist applicants in properly completing and submitting their AAP application with Miami-Dade County. It is recommended that application renewals be submitted thirty days prior to the expiration date.
AAP Forms
The AAP Affidavit and Statistical Workforce Analysis forms are required to be executed and submitted for AAP approval of new or renewal applicants. In addition an accompanying company's letterhead cover letter listing address, phone and fax numbers is required. AAP Reports
The AAP report lists all companies that currently have Affirmative Action Plans on file that have been approved by Miami-Dade County. The report includes an alphabetical listing of the firms, their AAP File Number and expiration date.
