How and when can my firm become a member of the EDP program?
All A&E firms that meet the current program eligibility requirements are eligible. The program typically opens annually but could be less frequent at the County's option. All pre-qualified firms will receive an electronic notification through the County's online e-solicitation service informing them of the program opening.
How are project assignment opportunities determined?
Opportunities for an EDP assignment are based on a firm's technical certifications and past three year work history with the County. Firms are placed in pools for each technical category by a rotational value (RV) calculated from their total County dollars awarded and/or paid over the last three years for County projects. The RV formula is explained under Reports in this site. The qualified firms that have had less opportunities to provide services to the County over the past three years typically will be eligible first for an EDP project assignment. The detailed assignment procedures are provided under Forms and Procedures.
How can I find my firm's rotational position in a technical category?
The EDP Firms report provided under Reports lists, by technical category, all active firms in rotational value order, as of the date of the report. OCI updates the report quarterly.
If I think my firm's Rotational Value is incorrect, who should I contact?
Please contact The Department of Small Business Development (SBD) at (305) 375-3103. SBD maintains the Architectural and Engineering work history records for the County.
If my firm is selected as the prime for an EDP project, can I utilize my own sub consultants?
Pursuant to the program requirements, all sub-consultants must be participants of the EDP and selected through the EDP process.
