    Directions to the Department of Emergency Management

    Directions

    From the North:
    Palmetto Expressway:

    Take the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) South to NW 36th Street and head west. Cross over NW 87th Avenue (Galloway Road) and the street becomes NW 41st Street. Continue West to 9300 NW 41st Street. The building is on the south side of the street and will be on your left-hand side.

    From the Florida Turnpike:
    Take the Florida Turnpike (SR 821) southbound to the NW 41st Street Exit (#29).  Head east on NWw 41st Street to the 9300 block. The building is on the south side of the street and will be on your right-hand side.

    From the South:
    Palmetto Expressway:

    Take the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) north to NW 36th Street and head west. Cross over NW 87th Avenue (Galloway Road) and it becomes NW 41st Street. Continue west to 9300 NW 41st Street. The building is on the south side of the street and will be on your left-hand side.

    From the Florida Turnpike:
    Take the Florida Turnpike north to NW 41st Street. Head east on NW 41st Street to 9300 NW 41st Street. The building is on the south side of the street and will be on your right-hand side.

    Access to the DEM/EOC:

     

    Visitors:
    Unless otherwise instructed, all visitors to DEM or the EOC should enter the building from the north entrance.  All visitors to the MDFR HQ/OEM complex will have to present a valid photo-identification.  All bags, briefcases and other materials are subject to search. The security receptionist will give you a visitors badge to the DEM in exchange for your own personal id.

    EOC Personnel:  All personnel assigned to work at the EOC should enter the building from the north entrance and proceed to the EOC complex in the west wing off of the main lobby. security will exchange your personal id for your EOC access badge.  You should request a badge for the functional section you are assigned to.  Example:   Logistics section, Human services, etc.

    Parking:
    Unless otherwise instructed, visitors should park in the visitors parking lot on the 41st street side of the building.
