    Dialysis Patients

When a hurricane or other disaster strikes, power to kidney dialysis patients may be without their normal scheduled dialysis until hospitals or renal centers have been restored. Therefore, dialysis patients will have to extend the life of their last treatment by watching their diets. Below is a link to the Emergency Renal Diet Plan Published by the ESRD Network of Florida and sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services under HCFA Contract #500-97-E025 as a resource for the professional renal community in Florida.
