Rebates & Incentives for Living Green

    Go Green to Save Green

It's simple: Saving energy and water saves money and helps the environment. And going green doesn't mean having to spend a lot of money. Simple and cost-effective retrofits such as replacing light bulbs with compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), installing a free high-efficiency showerhead or switching to a programmable thermostat can go a long way.

While other retrofits can cost more -- such as installing solar power panels or replacing home appliances with low-flow or high-efficient ones -- a return on your investment in the form of energy and water bills can be realized, and often very quickly. Below is a list of local, state and federal rebate, incentive and tax credit programs to help you go go green.

Major appliance rebate to run from April 16-25

Florida residents are eligible to receive 20 percent off certified Energy Star appliances and products purchased between April 16-25. These include: clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, gas tank-less water heaters and room air-conditioners. Consumers will receive an additional $75 if they provide evidence of having recycled the old appliance.
