The Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser’s launched this web site on the Internet on September 17, 2000. The Property Search function allows access to public information recorded on the tax rolls of Miami-Dade County.
Florida Statutes Chapter 119.071 provides for an exemption from public information to certain agencies and individuals, including but not limited to:

Active or former law enforcement personnel
-
Correctional and correctional probation officers
-
Certain personnel of the Department of Children and Family Services
-
Certain personnel of the Department of Health
-
Certain personnel of the Department of Revenue
-
Firefighters
-
Judges, including: justices of the Supreme Court, district court of appeal judges, circuit court judges, and county court judges
-
Current or former state attorneys, assistant state attorneys, statewide prosecutors, or assistant statewide prosecutors
-
County and municipal code inspectors and code enforcement officers
-
Spouses and children of all the above
For more details on this exemption please view the official Florida Statute Chapter 119.071. Those individuals who qualify and wish the exemption must:
- Fill out the Permanent Address Blocking Form

- Provide proof of employment in the eligible agency; such as a copy of your identification badge with the agency’s name, or other similar proof. As an alternative, your agency may submit a listing of eligible individuals on agency letterhead listing their individual name, address, title, and parcel identification number of the real property listed on the tax rolls.
