Mobile Home Declaration as Real Estate

A property owner can file an application for the issuance of an "RP" License Plate to identify their mobile home as real property.

If a property owner has a mobile home that was permanently affixed on January 1st of the current year, as described under Florida Statute 193.075, then a property owner can file a DR-402 Declaration of Mobile Home as Real Property.

The form can also be obtained from the Department of Revenue or with the Property Appraisal office.

The property owner must own the permanently affixed mobile home and the land(s), and provide registration certificate, deed and bill of sale with application.

Once Property Appraisal Department signs off on form, the property owner submits form to the Tax Collector for further processing.
