Special Request:
Public Service will handle all requests for real estate conferences (except during the Statutory appeal period following the mailing of the assessment notices). Special requests must be made in writing, specifically identifying those records requested. Walk-in customers will place their order, and the orders are filled as quickly as possible. Large volume requests may be referred to E.T.S.D. Availability will be made within the response time described above. The following exceptions will apply:
* Property records scheduled for re-assessment processing (i.e. Permit Fieldwork, VAB hearings, (staff preparation), litigation, special records requests requiring the use of information technology and or in cases involving extensive staff resources (availability of these records will be determined by the volume and complexity of the request) and large volume requests, may incur additional charges and response time could extend to 30 days per property request.
* Property Real Estate review requests, (2-3 weeks response time). Requests for corrections to record information should be supported with documentation from the property owner such as photographs, surveys and blueprints. Requests for review of value should be supported with cost estimates, closing statements, contracts, income information, etc.
* Records shielded by the confidentiality statute require a letter of authorization from the owner, or by a court order.
