Alert - Exemptions Filing Deadline Approaching

As the property tax filing deadline approaches next Wednesday, March 1st, Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser, Pedro J. Garcia, would like to remind property owners that they may apply for homestead, senior, veterans, and other exemptions to help reduce their property taxes. Those who have not had an opportunity to file for property tax exemptions may do so online, or by visiting our offices.

“We have successfully held several outreach events throughout the community to make our services more accessible to property owners,” said Mr. Garcia.

During the filing period, which runs from January through March, the Office of the Property Appraiser has been hosting multiple Outreach Events around the County. Mr. Garcia would like to invite property owners to one of our final outreach events.

As a reminder, you can apply for Homestead Exemption online or visit us Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., at our Downtown Miami (111 NW 1st Street, 7th Floor) or South Dade Government Center (10710 SW 211th Street, 2nd Floor) offices.
