The Redland Summer Fruit Festival will feature local agriculture and tropical-fruit plants on display and for sale.  There will be educational workshops and demonstrations on various topics including lychee/longan, cultivation, propagation, and grafting techniques. Sample rare fruits or visit the concession booths offering fruit-based foods such as fruit smoothies, coco frio, sugar cane, chocolate-covered fruit, and other mouth-watering foods. A children's area will feature the Little Farm Petting Zoo, pony rides, watermelon-eating contest, water balloon toss, and other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The Redland Fruit & Spice Park, operated by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces  Department, grows more than 500 varieties of sub-tropical fruits, herbs, spices, vegetables, and nuts from around the world on 40 lush acres in the agricultural Redlands.  The park offers daily botanical tours, fruit tasting and naturalist-led workshops.
