10th Annual Blue Water Fishing Classic Tournament
Welcome to Miami-Dade Parks' and The Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade's 10th Annual Blue Water Fishing Classic, Saturday, June 1, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The Blue Water Fishing Classic is a fishing tournament for amateur, professional and junior fishing enthusiasts. This annual event attracts anglers from throughout Miami-Dade County offering up to $20,000 in cash prizes. Winners are determined by the combined weight of the three largest fish within the species of dolphin, wahoo, blackfin tuna and kingfish.
The tournament operates from all six Miami-Dade County Marinas: Black Point Marina, Crandon Marina, Bill Bird Marina at Haulover, Herbert Hoover Marina at Homestead Bayfront Park, Matheson Hammock Marina and Pelican Harbor Marina. *Please note that weigh-in is not available at Pelican Harbor Marina or Herbert Hoover Marina at Homestead Bayfront Park.
Tournament festivities kick off on Thursday, May 30, with dinner at the Captains Party. Then, it's off to the competition on Saturday, June 1. On Sunday, June 2, winners will receive their prizes at an awards ceremony and celebration with more food, fun and music. Returning again this year is the Dolphin Challenge awarding a prize for the team with the largest dolphin, and the Mayor's Challenge for Miami-Dade County employees only.
