Soccer Complex at Amelia Earhart Park

Family Aquatic Center (Groundbreaking) at Amelia Earhart Park.

In general, this project includes but is not limited to, construction and finish work of:

  • A new concessions building with:
    • Amelia ParkMen’s restrooms
    • Women’s restrooms
    • Staff office
    • Meeting room
    • Breezeway
    • Covered porch
    • Concessions/snack bar
    • Pantry
    • Storage room with garage door
    • Janitor’s closet
  • Two natural turf soccer fields
    • Each field: 360’ x 225’ (120 yds. x 75 yds.)
    • Brand new high mast sports lighting
    • Removable goals
  • New picnic shelter area (1)
  • New shaded areas
    • Amelia ParkTwo concrete pads in the “south” area
    • One concrete pad in the “north” area – adjacent to the existing fields
    • Each pad has a cantilever steel structure with fabric shade canopy
  • Concrete walkways
    • Walkways adjacent to the new fields (south); approx. 8’ x 1,400’
    • Walkways adjacent to the existing fields (north): approx. 8 x 800’
    • New access control wood fencing – over 3,000 linear feet

Senior Center & Pool at Arcola Lakes Park

Arcola Lakes Park is within Commission District 2 and Community Council 8.

Park improvements include construction of a new Senior Center building with the following amenities:

  • Arcola ParksOne (1) storey, 14,220 square feet
  • Covered passenger drop-off area
  • Lobby/Reception area
  • Exhibit Hallway
  • Banquet Hall (tables & chairs, 266 occupants) that may convert to a Community meeting room (seating only, 580 occupants). Furnished with portable performance stage with lights and audio/visual equipment. Large room may be subdivided into two (2) smaller private gathering rooms.
  • Entertainment room, furnished with television, various table games & entertainment equipment
  • Arts & Crafts / Activity room
  • Ceramics room with Kiln
  • Exercise room furnished with various fitness equipment
  • Lifeguard / First-Aid room
  • Restrooms (Women & Men)
  • Locker / Shower Rooms (Women & Men)
  • Staff offices
  • Event Services & Delivery room (food warming & service room for Banquet Hall)
  • A/C Equipment room (mechanical)
  • Storage rooms & closets

Exterior area includes:

  • Arcola ParksTherapeutic Aquatic pool (24’ x 43’) with maximum depth of 5 feet
  • Spa (9’ x 9’)
  • Pool Deck space (8,324 square feet)
  • Porch Gallery / Seating area adjacent to pool deck
  • Lit parking for 138 automobiles
  • Pedestrian circulation & walkways
  • New Landscaping

Trail Glades Range

Trail GladesTrail Glades Range improvements include, but not limited to:

  • New R.V. Restroom building and associated utilities
  • 34 additional parking spaces
  • 12 new pre-manufactured shelters
  • Trap and skeet building upgrades

The project has not been built and is undergoing the permitting process.
