    Resources

To better serve the community at large, the Division of Arts and Culture established resource centers to provide accessibility to arts related programming and activities, and the availability of rental space for special events.

Dedicated in 1992, Women’s Park serves as a resource center for the community addressing the needs of the women and their families through workshops, partnerships, performances, lectures, and exhibitions.  Housed on 15-acres of breath-taking, lake-view property, the Women’s Park is home to the Roxcy O’Neal Bolton Women’s History Gallery which includes a multipurpose room for events and activities, a media room equipped with internet accessible computers, a picnic pavilion for rental (includes a barbeque grill and seating for 60) and a large open gallery space for exhibitions.  This park also features a tot-lot that is open to the public seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.

The second of the two Division’s resources is Arts in the Parks.  Arts in the Parks, is a program that provides arts education to neighborhood parks in 12 hub sites.  Since its inception the Arts in the Parks Program has produced such note-worthy projects as Cornucopia of the Arts, Magic City Mondays, and Neighborhood Parks Concert series.  The goal of this traveling resource is to enrich the community with arts experiences.
