Pools

 

There are many swimming facilities operated by Miami-Dade County and each offers various features to the public. Learn-to-Swim classes are offered for children (ages 3 and up) and adults, including those with disabilities. Classes are taught by certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. The program is offered during the summer months and year round at select locations. There are swimming pools in Miami-Dade County operated by the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department that are open all year:

• *A.D. Barnes (SW)
• *Helen Sands (SW)
• Tamiami (SW)
• Marva Bannerman  (NW) -Pool is under construction. The nearest pool is located at Arcola Park.
• *Palm Springs North  (NW)
• *Goulds  (SW) -Pool is under construction

*pools accessible to people with disabilities    

There are 6 pools that are open only during the summer months:

Northwest

• Arcola  (NW)
• Gwen Cherry  (NW)
• Little River  (NW)
• North Pointe Community Center (NW)

Southwest

• Naranja  (SW) -Pool is under construction.
• Richmond Pool at Sgt. Joseph Delancy Park  (SW)
• Tropical Estates  (SW)
