Arts Programs
A variety of cultural arts programs are offered for youth to explore and discover their own interests and talents and gain a deeper appreciation of artistic forms and influences. These include instrumental and choral music, dance, drama, manual arts and puppetry. Programs include After-School, Summer Programs, and school-break classes.

Taught by local professionals in a creative environment, classes are offered by themselves, or they may be combined in a package of arts, such as dance and drama, music and painting, solo instruments and band, principles of acting and theater workshops, etc.
Creative Arts Workshop
Children can attend the Saturday Creative Arts Workshop at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center to learn from qualified area professionals about performing and visual arts.
Creative Art Camp at the Deering Estate
Ages 6-9. Using the Artist Village, exhibits and Artists in Residence, campers explore a balance of fine and traditional craft art utilizing the natural and historic setting of the Estate. Two, ten-day sessions are available: June 9 – June 20 & August 4 – August 15.
