
South Florida’s year-round seasonal weather of warm summer and cooler, less humid winter temperatures create an invigorating opportunity to do fun things like biking! Miami-Dade Parks offers a variety of naturalist-guided bike tours where you can peddle on scenic wilderness trails, looking at colorful wild flowers, discovering the rich history of Key Biscayne, enjoying breath-taking views of tropical beaches, or exploring historic country roads of former pioneers in the Redland Farming District.
Our bike tours are designed for all skill levels from beginners to experienced cyclists. Participant must be nine years of age and older. All biking equipment, including safety helmet, is provided and we use hybrid Mountain Bikes for tours.
What to Bring
For your comfort and enjoyment of your bike tour, please consider bringing the following for all tours unless otherwise stated:

- Water (1 quart minimum)

- Historic Redland Farm District Bike Tour

Rated: Easy to Moderate; 14-mile Round Trip
Fee: $25.00/Person; $20.00/Person if you provide your own bike.
On this leisurely bike tour, learn about the historic people and places of the Redland Farm District. You will visit the homestead of South Dade pioneers, James Castellow, the Bauer Family; Hainlin’s Saw Mill, Anderson’s Corner and the Redland Farmlife School. The tour leaves from Castellow Hammock Park and Nature Center and includes a stopover at the Redland Fruit & Spice Park where you can sample a variety of refreshing tropical fruits.
- Key Biscayne Heritage Bike Trip

Rated: Easy to Moderate; 12-mile Round Trip
Fee: $25.00/Person; $20.00/Person, if you provide your own bike. Come explore the natural history of Key Biscayne as you bike along the streets and paths of this barrier island. Learn about the natural and historical events that created the Key Biscayne of today. The tour leaves from the Crandon Visitors and Nature Center and includes stops at the Bear Cut Marine Preserve, Crandon Beach and the Village of Key Biscayne.
- Everglades Wildflower Bike Tour

Join Naturalist Roger Hammer on this leisurely-paced, fun and educational 12-mile bike tour on Long Pine Key in Everglades National Park. The group will stop periodically along the trail to observe and learn about the colorful wild flowers found in the prairies and pinelands of this unique region. Bring a light lunch to eat at the halfway point next to scenic Pine Glade Lake.
- Customized Bike Tours
