Paralympic Sports: Blind SportsWe pride ourselves in promoting sports and recreation for children and adults with low vision and blindness. Children with low vision and blindness are invited to participate in any of the afterschool programs listed on the Disability Services Children's Programs page. We have partnered with USA Judo to offer judo for teens and adults with vision impairments. Our Goalball team has been in existence since 1993, and continues to train and compete year round.
A team sport played by individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Ages 15+. The object of the game is to throw a ball (with bells inside) across the goal line. Teams made up of three players on each side must block the ball by using their body to block the ball from passing them. This program is free of charge and it takes place at 7090 NW 22 Avenue.
