- Concert Series in the Parks
Several times each year, concerts are scheduled in neighborhood and metropolitan parks. Musical styles and artists vary widely and include classical, pop, rock, gospel, blues, jazz, Latin and country music. Often a concert is paired with a special event, or with environmental and educational programs. A Beach Concert Series takes place at Crandon Park, Matheson Hammock Park, Haulover Park and Homestead Bayfront Park. Call 305-755-7818 for more information.
- Band and Music Workshop
The Band and Music Workshop teaches instrumental techniques for beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels for woodwinds, brasses, percussion, strings and piano. It also includes classes in voice, chorus, and African instruments. Expert teachers guide and develop each student. Classes are available at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, for ages 5 to late teens.
