Most Miami-Dade County pools have summer swim teams. This is a great way for children to be introduced to the sport of swimming in a low key competitive setting. Tamiami Pool is home of the Metro Aquatic Club, a year round community based organization which recruits young swimmers on a Countywide basis, trains them for a modest membership fee, and holds swim competitions against other clubs, on a local, state and regional level.
