Miami-Dade Parks Seeks Service Providers for County Parks Programs

Are you a Yoga or Tai Chi instructor, personal trainer, or perhaps a music or art teacher looking for a place to provide your services? Then Miami-Dade Parks wants you to take part in a County Bid to provide your program or services at any one of its 263 park locations.

Vendors being sought may offer participants recreation programming, classes or activities such as:

  • Judo Instruction
  • Karate Instruction
  • Tai Chi Instruction
  • Dance Lessons
  • Aerobics Classes
  • Fitness Activities
  • Yoga Instruction
  • Music Lessons
  • Drama Classes
  • Ceramics Classes
  • Art Classes
  • Photography Classes
  • Cooking Classes
  • Floral Arrangement Classes
  • Computer Skills Classes

(These are examples. Other types may also be proposed.)

In this challenging economy over the last year, The Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department has been transitioning from serving as a community provider of programming, to serving instead as a facilitator of programs offered by private individuals or businesses. As an example, such current popular offerings are our Fitness Boot Camps, operated by independent personal trainers at our parks.

To that end, the Department has issued the County Bid # 9239-0/15 seeking private providers of family friendly health, fitness, and arts-oriented programs to offer their services to the community on Miami-Dade Park property, a potential windfall for businesses that are financially strained by the high cost and overhead of leasing. Miami-Dade Parks' leasing options are highly affordable in comparison to other venues. For more information, interested parties should contact William Solomon, 305-755-7873, pbs@miamidade.gov at Miami-Dade Parks. To get involved and become a pre-qualified service provider, there are two steps:

It is each vendor's responsibility to complete the above paperwork and to make sure the information is current because all Requests for Quotation for programming opportunities sent out are based upon the information provided.
