Held on the rooftop of the parking garage overlooking the city, guests will sample culinary delights by many of the area's popular restaurants, including Segafredo South Miami, Casa Lario's,  Casa Toscano, Dan Marino's, Fox's Lounge, Gardner's Market, Irish Times, OMG Burgers, Outback Steakhouse, Power Pizza, Shula's 347, Sole Trattoria, Swensen's, Whisk Gourmet Food and Catering, and many more.   Restaurants will also compete for "Best of" in five categories:  Best Appetizer, Best Main Course, Best Dessert, Best Presentation, and the final award - The Taste of the Town.  Guests will also take pleasure in signature drinks created especially for the event, such as the Million Trees Mojito courtesy of Casa Lario's, all while enjoying great live musical entertainment by popular local bands.  Zoo Miami's Ron Magill will be the Master of Ceremony for the evening.

Guests will also enjoy products from local area shops, including Aurum Collections, Foster & Clark, and Game Time, on display all in one location.

SoMi Taste of the Town, presented by Chamber South and The Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, will be on Saturday, July 9, from 7-11 p.m. on the rooftop deck of the parking garage located at 5829 SW 73 Street (above RA Sushi and across from Bougainvillea's).   Don't miss the after-party continuing at Segafredo South Miami starting at 11 p.m.  Advance ticket costs are $25 per person, $40 per couple, and $50 for the VIP Package which includes a special seating area and complementary cocktails, in addition to the samplers and beer and wine.  To pre-purchase tickets online, please visit Miami-Dade Parks. At the door, costs will be $30 per person, $50 per couple, and $75 for the VIP Package.  Parks Foundation members can receive one free ticket to the event, but must RSVP online at Miami-Dade Parks.   

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade and the Million Trees Miami Project.

Monies raised through membership and fundraising efforts help fund: scholarships for disadvantaged children to attend after-school and summer camp programs; recreational and community programs, such as disability services and health and wellness initiatives for people of all ages; and Parks Open Space Master Plan initiatives, such as the development of trailways, bikeways and safe access to parks and open spaces throughout Miami.
