''Guardians of the Everglades'' Exhibit at the Deering Estate at Cutler


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
The "Guardians of the Everglades" Exhibit by Nicholas Petrucci and Connie Bransilver is a multimedia art, conservation, and education exhibit honoring heroes of Everglades conservation. Petrucci's classical oil portraits are accompanied by educational signage and video.

The exhibit opening will be held on Wednesday, November 14th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Deering Estate at Cutler. The exhibit opening is free and open to the public. The Deering Estate at Cutler is located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue.

The "Guardians of the Everglades" Exhibit will be on display at the Deering Estate at Cutler from November 10, 2012 - January 20, 2013. Open Daily: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm; Exhibit is free with Estate admission.

The Deering Estate at Cutler's Art on Loan Program has been successful in attracting art and artifacts for public display or exhibition, which has included all forms of historical documents and artifacts, fine art created for aesthetic purposes and fine craft created for functional purposes. Our Exhibits and Collections Advisory Committee, representing leaders from local galleries, cultural organizations and museums and academia, works with the Director of the Deering Estate at Cutler and the Exhibits and Collections Staff to identify unique opportunities for collaboration in interpretation and exhibition.

Our exhibit partners have included: Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami Art Museum, LegalArt, HistoryMiami, Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, GroveHouse Artists, amongst others. About the Deering Estate at Cutler: The Deering Estate at Cutler, a Miami-Dade County Park, is located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue in Miami. This 444-acre natural and archeological preserve and historic site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a center for education, culture and recreation. Historic house tours are offered daily at 10:30 am & 3:00 pm with admission to the Estate. EcoAdventure Tours are also offered throughout the year for an additional fee.
