''Holiday Wonderland'' at the Deering Estate at Cutler


(MIAMI, November 20, 2013) - Throughout December, visitors can tour the elegant and historic houses at the Deering Estate at Cutler as they come alive with holiday accents and decorations! The “Holiday Wonderland” is an annual tradition and a special project of local garden clubs and community organizations. The Deering Estate Foundation, Inc. and the Deering Estate at Cutler would like to thank the following garden clubs and community organizations for their decorating efforts and contributions to this year’s “Holiday Wonderland”:

Ceramic League of Miami

Coconut Grove Garden Club

Coral Pines Garden Club

Dadeland Garden Club

Ken Pines Garden Club

MacArthur South Family and Consumer Sciences Department 4H

Palmetto Bay Garden Club

The holiday decorations will be on display daily from December 1st through December 31st from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The cost is free with regular Estate admission: $12 for adults & $7 for children (ages 4-14). Please note that the Deering Estate at Cutler will be closed on Christmas Day.

About the Deering Estate at Cutler

The Deering Estate at Cutler, a Miami-Dade County Park, is located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue in Miami. This 444-acre natural and archeological preserve and historic site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a center for education, culture and recreation. Historic house tours are offered daily at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm. Natural areas tours are offered daily at 12:30 pm (October – May).
