Bike305 is a collaborative effort forged by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez in partnership with 15 municipal mayors and parks departments from Coral Gables, Cutler Bay, Doral, Homestead, Key Biscayne, Miami, Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, Miami Shores, North Miami, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, and Surfside to unite and support the connectivity of people and places through the county’s bikeways and trails. The mayors are promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles and encouraging residents to bicycle to parks, attractions, shops, and events throughout the year. This is another great example of how the Miami-Dade County Parks and Open Space Master Plan continues to make strides in developing a more livable, healthy and sustainable Miami-Dade community. Mack Cycle and Fitness, South Florida’s family-owned bicycle store since 1957, is the premier partner of the Bike305 movement, along with sponsor Manny Miranda, State Farm Agent and other sponsors.* The goal of this ongoing partnership with Miami-Dade County is to improve community wellness. Visit www.Bike305.com for more information about Bike305, including a calendar of events, bikeway and trail maps, and special offers from Bike305 sponsors and business partners. In support of this initiative, the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners has proclaimed the month of March 2014, and every March hereafter, as “Bike305 Month.”
