This is the third consecutive year for the group’s reforestation effort at Haulover Park in support of Million Trees Miami’s goal of achieving a 30 percent tree canopy for the county by 2020.

“We are proud of Ms. McCartney’s commitment to Miami-Dade and specifically Haulover Beach Park,” said Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez.  “As a business owner, she is demonstrating her community stewardship by increasing shade and beautifying our parks, contributing to something we can all enjoy.”

“Stella McCartney’s continued support for the Haulover Dog Park will be valued for decades to come,” said Commissioner Heyman.  “As dog owners, we truly appreciate additional shade trees and know that this donation will increase use in our park.”

“Million Trees Miami is grateful for Ms. McCartney’s investment in our community,” said Miami-Dade CIAB Chairman and Miami-Dade County District 9 Commissioner Dennis C. Moss. “Public-private partnerships like this are helping Million Trees Miami to achieve its goal of planting one million trees by 2020.”
