Free Playwright Readings at the Deering Estate at Cutler's Visitor Center Theatre


(MIAMI, September 16, 2014) — Lost Girls Theatre Company presents “The River Bride” by Marisela Treviño Orta at the Deering Estate at Cutler on Monday, October 13, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. The event is part of a new Playwright Project Residency as well as a part of annual Theatre Lab Programming at the Deering Estate’s Visitor Center Theatre. The event is free and open to the public. Please note that the playwright readings may contain mature subject matter.

About “The River Bride” by Marisela Treviño Orta :

Three days before a wedding a handsome and mysterious man is fished from the Amazon River. Set once upon a time in a small Brazilian fishing village, “The River Bride” is a tale of true love, regret and two sisters who struggle to be true to each other and their hearts."

About the Deering Estate at Cutler

The Deering Estate at Cutler, a Miami-Dade County Park, is located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue in Miami. This 444-acre natural and archeological preserve and historic site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a center for education, culture and recreation. Historic house tours are offered daily at 10:30 am & 3:00 pm. EcoAdventure Tours are also offered throughout the year for an additional fee.
