''Santa Claus Is Coming To Town'' and he is visiting the Deering Estate at Cutler
(MIAMI, November 24, 2014) - Santa Claus is Coming to Town and he is visiting the Deering Estate at Cutler on Saturday, December 13 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Families can enjoy Story-Time & Photos with Santa in the historic Stone House Ballroom next to the beautiful Christmas Tree. After story-time, children can participate in holiday arts & crafts activities. The cost is $12 for adults & $7 for children, ages 4-14, and free for Deering Estate Foundation Members.
Visitors can also tour the elegant and historic houses as they come alive with holiday accents and decorations! The Holiday Wonderland is an annual holiday decorating tradition in the Historic Homes, curated by local garden clubs and community organizations. In addition, the Youth Arts Exhibit and the Outdoor Birdhouse Build & Design will also be on display. The Youth Arts Exhibit features creative works by student artists (Grades K-12) and youth ceramics from the Ceramic League of Miami. Partnering with Miami-Dade College’s Dr. Lyle Culver and his students, the Outdoor Birdhouse Build & Design will showcase an outdoor exhibition of specially designed functional & historically themed birdhouses which will be on display from December 1, 2014, through January 29, 2015.

The Deering Estate at Cutler, a Miami-Dade County Park, is located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue in Miami. This 444-acre natural and archeological preserve and historic site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a center for education, culture and recreation. Historic house tours are offered daily at 10:30 am & 3:00 pm and a Natural Areas Tour is offered daily at 12:30 pm.
