(MIAMI, February 20, 2015) - The Deering Estate at Cutler, in collaboration with the Antique Automotive Club of America – South Florida Region, will host the 3rd annual Vintage Auto Show supported by Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay on Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Car enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy a variety of vintage cars from 1954 and older. Children can participate in a scavenger hunt using photo clues to identify a selection of vintage automobiles. There will also be Pinewood Derby Race Car races throughout the day where children can bring their own car to race on the tracks. The 100 Ladies of Deering will be hosting an Old Fashioned Cake Walk and selling vintage treats to support their philanthropic circle composed of women dedicated to helping preserve the cultural and natural heritage of the Deering Estate. About the Antique Automotive Club of America – South Florida Region
Founded in 1955, the Antique Automotive Club of America is open to enthusiasts of antique automobiles of all makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles from the early 1900’s and now including the year 1987. Show rules require that the vehicles be twenty-five years old or older, but that doesn’t mean you have to own a show car to join the club or participate in non-show events. In fact, you don’t even have to own an antique car; all it takes is a love of these treasures and an appreciation for the history they represent.
