Free ''Safe Boating Awareness'' Seminar Helps Recreational Boaters Learn Safe Boating Practices


(MIAMI, April 16, 2015) — In advance of Memorial Day Weekend, which kicks-off the busy summer boating season, the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department in conjunction with Miami-Dade Marine Patrol, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Biscayne National Park will present a free “Safe Boating Awareness Seminar” on Wednesday, April 22, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Black Point Ocean Grill, located at Black Point Park and Marina, 24775 SW 87 Ave., Homestead, Florida.

The seminar is designed to help recreational boaters learn the rules of the water and provide helpful tips for safe boating. The evening includes presentations and handouts by the participating agencies, as well as complimentary hors d'oeuvres, refreshments and a raffle drawing for a marine gas grill.
