"The Underline" public meetings focus on community feedback in developing master plan


(MIAMI, June 1, 2015) — Miami-Dade Transit and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Departments, in partnership with Friends of The Underline, is seeking public input concerning the proposed master plan for The Underline. The Underline is a 10-mile stretch of biking and pedestrian trails and park spaces located beneath the county’s Metrorail between the Miami River north of Brickell and Dadeland South stations.

Two public meetings are scheduled in June, and area residents, business owners and visitors are encouraged to attend and participate in the interactive discussions:

Tuesday, June 23 · 6-8 p.m.

Each meeting will be approximately two hours in duration and is designed to gather feedback on preliminary designs prepared by James Corner Field Operations

The vision for The Underline is to create a linear park and urban trail that will enhance connectivity, mobility, and biking safety for hundreds of thousands of Miami-Dade residents and visitors.
