Creating a More Bikeable, Runnable and Walkable Miami-Dade
Amid high-rises, retail stores and restaurants, a vibrant public place is envisioned for one of Miami’s few remaining open spaces. Brickell Promenade reimagines what an urban public space can be by combining recreational amenities, art, technology and sustainability into one uniquely-Miami setting.
Designed to appeal to a growing number of urban dwellers and work-day professionals, this transit-oriented park will complement area development projects and provide economic incentives while preserving and maximizing the use of public land for the benefit of all.

Spanning a 7-block area from SW 13th Street to the Miami River, Brickell Promenade is part of a larger vision to enhance the M-Path, a 10-mile paved multi-use trail beneath the elevated Miami-Dade Metrorail guideway.
Currently in testing, the Miami Mobile application, developed by IBM, is designed to promote Brickell-area businesses and events while providing information and incentives to consumers.
Developed with a dual purpose, the app is also a transportation efficiency solution that will provide residents and visitors with real-time updates on public transportation options, while also providing transit experts meaningful data on ridership patterns. Revenues will be used to maintain the promenade.
