MDFR Investigations Specialist
Minimum Qualifications
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department is seeking to fill seven (7) Investigations Specialist positions for its Background Investigations Section. This paraprofessional position performs confidential background investigations of applicants seeking employment. Investigation Specialists are responsible for reviewing criminal histories, employment and educational records, and transcripts; interviewing previous and current employers; verifying health information; confirming biographical data; and secure any other information required to make employment decisions. Employees will work a 4/10 (four days per week/10 hours per day) schedule with Saturdays and Sundays off. The candidate must meet the minimum requirements for this position: High School diploma or GED with two years of experience in law enforcement, military, governmental or private organization, and a Driver license. Applicants will be subject to an extensive screening process to include background, criminal and fingerprint check and alcohol and drug screening.
