Miami-Dade County's Office of Sustainability collaborates with County agencies, business groups, nonprofit organizations, and other partners and stakeholders to effectively integrate sustainability core concepts and values into programs, operations and policies. This is primarily accomplished through implementation of the County’s first community-wide Sustainability Plan, GreenPrint.
GreenPrint establishes the framework, goals and actions needed to inform, inspire and enable our government and community to achieve a more sustainable future by improving economic prosperity, quality of life and environmental stewardship throughout the community.
The Office's role is to coordinate and assist with department-level and organization-wide change to a more sustainable government culture, operations and service delivery in order to provide a more efficient and effective government that encourages and facilitates a vibrant economy, healthy urban environments, smart mobility and effective environmental stewardship.
