Over the next several months, the Miami-Dade County Department of Planning and Zoning will be holding a number of public events as part of the Coral Villa Estates Area Charrette. A charrette is a planning process that involves extensive community participation with the goal of creating a future vision for a specific area.
This charrette process began with Miami-Dade County Commissioner Rebeca Sosa sponsoring a resolution requesting a charrette planning study for the Coral Villas Estates area within Commission District 6. The Coral Villa Estates area is generally located south of Coral Way (SW 24th Street), east of Ludlam Road (SW 67th Avenue), north of the Coral Gables canal and west of SW 63rd Avenue. A charrette steering committee made up of area residents and property owners has been formed and will be holding regular meetings to guide the charrette process and assist Planning and Zoning staff in identifying community priorities.
These meetings, which are open to the public, will lead towards the charrette workshop, a public event held on a Saturday where the residents and property owners of Coral Villa Estates area are invited to draw their ideas for the future of their community. The Department of Planning and Zoning encourages your participation!
